One minute reprimands using Arizona distribution center as an example.
Here’s a nifty lesson for you when something goes wrong and sometimes it will. That’s life. Managing other people can be stressful and difficult, especially if you don’t just want to throw your weight around like some fat cats that are more ineffective than you. As a manager of a big, important business or something along those lines, you just want to be straight-forward. If a problem occurs, go to the employee that’s responsible and ask for their explanation without accusing them of wrongdoing. Let them know what they did was wrong and make sure they know what to do in the future. Let your reprimand last a minute.
It’s even more difficult when dealing with outside, outsourced companies, like fulfillment services. Most outsourced companies, who are wary of losing your business, will not need to be scolded like children, but will explain their situation without hesitation. However, if they do, you may need to step up to the plate and explain the issue at hand. As soon as you get your point across, it can be back to business as usual and they can get back to doing what they do best – pack and ship your product.
