Breaking down the costs of fulfillment services

Breaking down the costs of fulfillment services

In order to be doubly sure you can avoid any unnecessary fees when choosing anArizona distribution center fulfillment services, be aware of the following hidden fees that some fulfillment services may throw your way. Be sure to ask lots of pressing questions – warehouse workers love questions and will be happy to answer them.

Some facilities charge to receive merchandise, receive orders via mail order, manage continuity (aka autoship) programs, process credit cards even if you include multipays, coordinate and insert all bounce-back materials (aka returns) and prepare documentation for international shipments, provide all reports as required by client, inspect returned merchandise, update customer database for returns, issue customer receipts (can you believe this?) and restock undamaged return merchandise.

BUT THAT’S NOT ALL – SOME FULFILLMENT SERVICES WILL EVEN TRY AND CHARGE YOU (SOMETIMES CALLED NICKEL AND DIME YOU) FOR RESPONSES TO CHARGEBACK’S, MAKING BANK DEPOSITS, ANSWER CUSTOMER SERVICE PHONE CALLS, RESPONSES TO ALL CUSTOMER EMAIL CORRESPONDENCE, EVEN STORAGE AND ACCOUNT PROCESSING FEES FOR INVOICE PAYMENTS MADE VIA CREDIT CARD.

Like already mentioned, you should ask lots and lots of questions. It’s your money, you better hold onto it as best you can. Many of these charges, if they won’t be waived, can at least be understood or you can find a new warehouse that doesn’t nickel and dime you.  If you get an invoice and don’t understand something, call that warehouse up lickety split and demand answers. This is the best possible way to run your business and you know it.
