But what does that mean and how does that affect you? Let’s say you wanted to order some pretzels to sell in your pizzeria. When you order said pretzels, they are sometimes stored in a warehouse called a fulfillment services company and shipped out as orders are completed. So Pretzels Co. doesn’t have a bunch of braided bread sticks sitting in the back – they use off-site warehouses to supply their goods.

You could get your pretzels in no time at all! Many companies offer this service with no setup fees, no minimums, no account processing fees or receiving fees.
Many distribution services use little workers called “pickers” to find the items they need topack and ship. They are paid minimum wage to keep costs low for you, the big business owner. Everything works out in the end and everyone is happy. Pickers bring their product they find and take off the shelves to “packers” who check thoroughly to make sure all the products are accounted for. Then, it’s off to the races for your pretzels and soon you’ll be in business.
